Antique Tibetan Rug.
This Tibetan rug has a very unusual field design with meditative qualities and lotus flowers in the border. Its fairly deep pile and its size suggest it was used as a khaden, or sleeping rug. The woollen warps and wefts point to an early date of this piece. It has very minor repairs but is overall in excellent condition. Indigo-dyed cotton binding in the Tibetan fashion.
