Kurdish, early 20th century.
Six rows of two concentric lozenges with hooked patterns form the main body of the field, which is on a blue ground. The bands of lozenges are separated by strips of geometric designs alternating between a continuous pattern of crosses and a string of octagons filled with simple angular motifs. These strips are flanked by half diamonds also found in Jaf Kurdish weavings. A meandering oak leaf design forms the pattern in the main border on an apricot ground.
Wool on a wool foundation. Very good quality of wool and dyes. A few minor repairs
