Charming southwest Persian village rug, ca. 1900. The centre medallion in a subdued red hue is set on a blue field, interspersed with people and animal motifs. The spandrels echo the design of the centre medallion.
This rug is in excellent condition, with a full wool pile on a wool foundation, all naturally dyed, and has retained its original ends.
