This Heriz carpet dates around 1880 and epitomises everything we love about carpets from this region. Rich colours, refined design and great age means wonderful natural dyes. The bold large geometric blue leaves in the four corners are just stunning. Combined with the smaller vines connecting around the subtle central floral design and classic Heriz border, this makes for a truly beautiful antique carpet from the North-West of Persia.

As this piece is around 140 years old, the charm and character means it does have some lower pile in places. But as it is a fine weave it is not that noticeable, no significant low areas and the carpet retains both ends / fringes and sides secured too. Recently cleaned and this has brightened up the gorgeous rich colours. An extremely handsome piece, ideal for any room and supplied with our anti-slip underlay too.Stock number
