In near perfect condition, this antique Fereghan carpet has an amazing full height wool pile all over.  We believe it has been hardly used throughout its life as the condition is truly exceptional, it probably resided in a large country house which was rarely used.  The vibrant natural dyes are wonderful, with a natural ivory wool background showing the delightful lattice pattern with gentle blues, yellow, soft pinks and reds.  The rich red border has again gorgeous green and pale blue dyes.

It is rare to find ivory background antique carpets from any region, so this is welcome beautiful addition to our inventory.  Woven around the late 19th century to early 20th century, this 100 year old Fereghan would look at home in a traditional or modern setting.  Please do request a home visit if you would like to see it at home.  Alternatively you are welcome to make an appointment to view in our barn showroom in Crondall, Surrey.
