Anglo-Indian rosewood centre table, the well figured circular tilt top table with carved stylised lotus border above a frieze of carved acanthus scrolls and carved lotus rosettes over gadroon carved border.  The quadripartite platform base supports a tripartite column of boldly carved lotus leaf collar, to lotus carved knop and  foliate carved baluster.  The concave base with moulded panels and floral carved boss and extends to turned feet with cast brass castors. The tilt top is secured by a brass catch and bolts.  This table is probably from a workshop in Bombay, the design of which is taken from an English pedestal table design and dates from circa 1830 - 1850.
