19th century teapoy of the finest quality. With inlay of satinwood, harewood, ivory, tulipwood, purplehart ebony and brass. The cartouches around the body represent military, love, music and harvest. The coat of arms surmounted by a coronet and eagle above The motto; FIDE ET CONSTANTIA (Faith and Courage) satinwood interior oval pair of harewood caddies, glass blending bowls. Four C-scroll supports a central lobed and lappet clasped column. Terminating on a flared concave inlaid base with scroll feet with recessed castors. Circa 1840. An identical shield, crest and motto is also recorded in Dublin in 1816.
