This is a fabulous fine 19th century French bureau de Dame. in the Louis XV style. This shapely Kingwood and walnut veneered desk is raised on long cabriole legs. Has a fully fitted interior, the colours are so bright it's hardly been used, three serpentine shaped drawers with the original ormolu-mounted handles, above two sliding wells. The upper section has two glazed doors, beautifully lined interior behind is a single shelf. The whole is crowned with a pierced gilt metal gallery and mounted throughout in ormolu. French circa 1870
