An 18th century Welsh stick chair. It has a horse-shoe shaped arm rest formed from two sections of sycamore. The arm sticks are drawn from ash with unusual turned front supports on a very thick one piece ash seat and three ash legs. With a wonderful colour and surface and traces of an early red paint.
Cardiganshire, West Wales circa 1780.
