Of coopered form, with twisted rope handles and a gadrooned border. Retaining its original liner & rim. Engraved with an armorial shield and inscribed motto: Forte Scutem Salus Ducum (A strong shield is the safeguard of our leaders) Family: Fortescue. Later retailed by Garrards, Panton Street, London.
