A beautifully painted pastoral scene with cows in the foreground having a town or village in the background on the right side of the view. A young Lady is sitting on a hillock holding a small child, in the partial shade of a large tree, while in conversation with a gentleman wearing a hat the other side of a gate, with a dwelling on his left.The whole is executed on an oak panel.
