A fine pair of 18th century brass side-eject candlesticks.
The base and upper stem are turned, round, the central section with the slider is octagonal in section. There is an unusual knurled band of decoration mid-way in the upper stem and another towards the top of the base; engraved lines to each facet of the octagonal section. The bases are nicely turned out beneath.
English or French mid 18th century.
