A stunning 15th/16th century oak strong box reinforced with iron strapwork.
The lid is held by massive iron hinges and is secured by a hasp with a ring for a padlock and which conceals a keyhole and the box comes with what appears to be the original key.
It has iron carry handles to the sides and there are traces of paint throughout.
