A Magnificent and Extremely Rare Pair of Late Romanesque Italian Limestone Lion Supports. Circa 1320.
This stunning pair of 14th century limestone lions would have supported possibly a grand door entrance or baptistery, carved in limestone they have the most amazing devotional wear and patina. Part of the original marble columns remain attached.
Both gazing heavenward and lying on their square bases.
