An Archaeological Revival Demi-Parure by Castellani.
Modelled in the Etruscan taste, the necklace of twelve large amethyst beads separated by rhomboid gold spacers, suspending a fringe of nine purposefully antiqued circular gold roundels, with beaded wire and rope-twist filigree borders, continuing to the back with gold beads including filigree spheres and polished discs, the earrings of matching design.
Rome, circa 1865.
