History
Gabriel Rene Lacroix (1894-1963) was one of the leading French sculptors and metalworkers of the Art Deco period. Th majority of his work was completed between 1925 and 1940.
He was a regular exhibitor at the Salon des Artistes and also produced many public statues. He experimented in the use of different techniques in particular repousse work and patinations.
