A rare George III Serving Slice made in London in 1773 by Richard Meach.
The Slice displays a triangular blade pierced with scroll work engraved with linear designs. The central section shows a large central fish, flanked by two smaller fish.
The Hanoverian pattern handle is decorated with a feather edge border and is attached to the blade with a cast shell moulding. The Slice is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse. A most unusual design, seldom seen on the market.
Length: 9.5 inches, 23.75cm.
Width of blade, at the widest point: 3.9 inches, 9.75cm.
