BADA members Robert Young Antiques will be hosting the 18th edition of their popular annual Folk Art Exhibition from Thursday 11 May to Sunday 20 May, 2017 at 68 Battersea Bridge Road, London, SW11 3AG.

The exhibition brings together over 100 selected works sourced from the UK and throughout continental Europe.

Among the many British works featured are a remarkable pair of finely executed Georgian pin-prick angling pictures with watercolour detail on paper, circa 1770, a fine carved snuff box of a standing cleric with Tricorn Hat in coquilla nut with glass eyes, circa 1820, and an exceptional primitive Hobby Horse with metal bound wooden wheels, circa 1880. (see below)

The European works on display include a rare Swedish provincial metamorphic chair or ‘Bordstol’ in pine which opens to form a low circular table, circa 1820, a remarkable collection of six oval Bride’s Boxes or ‘Brautschachteln’ from Northern Europe circa 1780-1830, and a spectacular French graphic weathervane featuring three crossed arrows in weathered wrought iron, circa 1800.

All of those pieces can be viewed in the beautifully illustrated catalogue featuring forty-eight works from the exhibition, click here to download a copy
