The top is supported on three spreading curved supports with scrolled ends that join in a cluster in the centre where they are carved with leafy swags before spreading outwards to terminate in scrolled feet with floral swags. Robert (1776 – 1850), described as an upholsterer, his son, also Robert, described as a cabinetmaker (1812 – 1895) and his grandson, Robert W., described as a master cabinetmaker and house furnisher (1863 – 1939).
