Chinese Transitional wucai figures made at Jingdezhen during the Reign of the Emperor Shunzhi, the first Qing Emperor. The figures are modelled as the Hehe Erxian twins also known as the Twins of Harmony each holding a small vase.
The figures are standing on a plinth which is painted with scattered flowerheads of peonies and foliage.
They were made for the European market where the fashion was growing for a chinese themed room
