Early Heriz carpets from northwest Persia are in a class of their own. Prized for their artistic geometrical designs, fine durable construction and wonderful vegetable dyed colours, they have always stood out for their aesthetically appealing designs and make ideal decorative rugs.
This example has a bold graphic drawing and harmonious vegetable-dyed colours which have aged well.
Not common in this squarish format. A great addition to a wide variety of settings.
