To preserve the quality of the objects we keep restoration to a minimum and focus on English and occasionally European Furniture with an emphasis on the 17th and 18th Centuries.

Premises

Dealing in beautiful things is a privilege, and for us a passion and a constant source of interest and fascination.

In our shop in Gargrave and on this site, we hope you will see beautiful and stylish things and furthermore that they will fire your imagination as they do ours.

My Mother’s father always said that by the time you had said ‘good morning’ to a customer, you had told them too much! We try to be a little more forthcoming.

Stock

We keep a fairly broad range of stock; English and occasionally European Furniture with an emphasis on the 17th and 18th Centuries, English and Oriental Ceramics, Paintings, Textiles and all manner of Works of Art and oddities.

We keep restoration to a minimum, cherish patina, and identify any faults or restoration to our customers.

We are fortunate in that we still buy a good proportion of our stock from private sources, and so pass things from one generation of collectors to the next.

We have been members of The British Antique Dealers Association since we were elected in 1962 and adhere to its Codes of Practice.

This Association represents the finest Antiques Dealers in the Country and demands considerable integrity of members in their dealings with the public.
