John Joseph
After working in advertising, retail and fashion, John Joseph began a love affair with antiques in his early 20’s.
He began by trading jewellery in his lunch break at Bond Street antiques market.
Begore long, he was offered a stand in the annex of Barrett Street where he specialised in mourning jewellery seals, silver, watches and chains.
John also sold at Bermondsey market, Camden Passage and Portobello Road.
John Joseph Antique Jewellery was established in 1980 and has now been operating for over 35 years.
He deals mostly in antique pieces from the Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco and Art Nouveau eras.
John’s premises are now sitauted at Grays Antique Market.
He maintains that the buzz of buying new items and meeting new customers are the most enjoyable elements of his work.
