Qingbai Yuan Dynasty brown splashed ewer with Chi Hornless dragon handle. Excellent item and very rare.
Qingbai of the Yuan dynasty was a continuation from the Song Dynasties. They were made at the kilns at Jingdezhen and the spots or splashes were applied as added decoration in the Yuan dynasty.
This excellent ewer belongs to a small group of Qingbai objects with iron splashes that was applied to the surface.
the ewer typically has the handle made of Chi hornless dragons or Immature dragons. The elegant spout tapers slightly.
Overall an excellent example
