About the object

Chinese Early 18th Century Sparrow beak jug made during the reign of the Emperor Yongzheng at Jingdezhen for export to Europe
The piece shows some of the best painting with over glaze enamels with great detail and texture, shows why Yongzheng period was considered the zenith of Chinese ceramics for many
The painting shows a complete harvest scene of apple pickers, tea pickers and goatherders and fisher men on boats in the background. Also it shows traders and merchants transporting the harvest
The border is a stylised pattern with highlights of gilt.
A very rare item
