Yew wood Windsor high back arm chair with a shaped and incised splat and a crinoline stretcher. Well figured timber and good original colour and patina.
For a very similar chair see Bernard D.Cotton Fig. NE240 which bore Benjamin Gilling's label who worked in Worksop, Nottinghamshire in about 1841-51.
