Superb English Regency Period Sidetable -Server Console of generous proportions , typical of the craftmanship and timber of Gillows Lancaster. Whilst not the usual Gillows model more than likely a special private commission.
Whilst being imposing and strong it has managed to remain an elegant piece of the best of the Regency era. The tall looking legs and the slim frieze enclosing a drawer are perfectly balanced making the stance, I observe "of a racehorse".
Condition Excellent state of repair with a wonderful natural patination and original colour - retaining most unusually its beautifully drawn brass railing.
