A wonderful and rare English medieval oak sculpture of a monk. Circa 1450.
This very attractive English medieval sculpture is a rarity to survive the reformation. Standing in a long-draped tunic with simple folds, holding fruit in his left hand.
Wonderful untouched colour and patination.
Provenance -the Howard Neville collection of early works of art.
