Extremely well-fashioned and decorated WILLIAM & MARY silver needle and thimble case.
The maker's mark 'APD' in a monogram is stamped on the inside of the lid. Circa 1690.
The case has a tapering form with engraved contemporary decoration. The thimble section has a hinged cover which fits tightly. The case has a ring attachment and a push button clasp. The engraving is striking and in good condition throughout. Both hinge and clasp are in good working order.
