A William IV period rosewood and mother-of-pearl inlaid lady’s table compendium.
The deep hinged lid enclosing a fitted work-box with its original blue silk lining, and a pair of doors with three drawers behind; the lower one forming a removable writing-slope.
The exterior inset with nacre stylised-flower motifs and applied with split-turned mouldings and brass mounts.
Circa 1835.
