A small late 17th century oak settle with a crest rail deeply carved with leaf decoration and a central scallop shell and a stretcher with similar carving.
It has a triple fielded panel back and a rope seat which now has a purpose made cushion. Stunning rich dark colour and patination.
The pyramid finials and type of carving suggest in was made in North Cheshire/South Lancashire.
