Introduced by Rolex to the market in 1956, the Day-Date quickly became the flagship in the Rolex stable. Worn by US Presidents like Eisenhower, Roosevelt, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Ford, it quickly became known as the “President”. Few watches can match its presence and prestige on the wrist.
Original and unrestored dial with rare “door stopper” hour markers at 6 and 9 o’clock. Original sword hands never changed during a Rolex service. A very classy whitegold Rolex with none of the pretentiousness of the current model.
Dated from 1963, the watch has been completely overhauled by a Rolex accredited watchmaker and fitted with a generic black alligator strap.
