Wedgwood Pearlware Pottery Neoclassical Large Pair of Cachepots and Stands.
Late 18th Century.
The pair of circular Wedgwood pottery cache pots and underdish have a series of concave reeded panels in a chocolate brown slip color with each edge in white. The top border had two bands- a lower one with white "pearls" between two white raised bands and the upper one with alternating designs of a standing plant and an anthemion.
The circular underdish has a raised curved rim, also with chocolate brown slip bands seperated with a thin raised band with a wider one at the rim.
Condition: One base with a star crack and a small invisible chip to one rim.
Dimensions:
Overall: 8 3/4 inches high x 11 1/4 inches wide.
Cache Pot: 8 1/2 inches high x 11 1/4 inches.
Underdish: 11 1/4 inches wide x 2 inches high at rim.
Marks: Wedgwood in upper case on bases.
