A very fine and rare antique Victorian Silver Queens Pattern Cutlery Set / flatware service for 12 people all made in London in 1884 by A.B Savory and Son with the wonderful mother of pearl knives to match made at the same time by Francois Nicoud of Paris. The service comprises: 12 Table spoons, 12 Table forks, 12 Dessert spoons and 12 Dessert forks. To complement the set the Savory Brothers (with their French connections) had 12 mother of pearl table knives and 12 dessert knives made as a special order by Francois Nicoud of Paris. The table knives are rebladed from the original carbon steel to stainless steel in circa 1920 and the dessert knives have French 1st standard (.950 pure) silver blades. The whole set is in fabulous condition and to get period mother of pearl knives with a complete one date and maker set is most unusual.
