A fine Victorian silver basket with cranberry coloured glass liner (removable) made in Birmingham in 1858 by Hilliard and Thomason. The basket stands on a circular fine rope twist decorative foot which is matched by the upper rim and also the swing handle. The main body has beautifully applied work of acorns and flowers. The basket is in excellent condition.
