A self taught artist who worked in oils and watercolours.Lived for most of his life in Ewhurst, painting views of Surrey. This view is probably of Frensham ponds near Farnham. His work was influenced by the pre-raphaelites in the same way Atkinson Grimshaw was, showing attention to detail and colour.
