An extremely rare Victorian cast silver novelty Scent Atomiser made in the form of an excited terrier, sitting up on his haunches in an appealing begging pose, with coloured glass eyes, a circular screw-off base and a button at the back of his head which, when depressed repeatedly, sprays scent, most imaginatively through the act of micturation (or peeing).
By William Leuchars, London 1880, incised ""LEUCHARS & SON"" on the base.
