An Impressive Silver Gilt Dessert Set for 18 - 1874 Martin Hall and Company of Sheffield.

A Magnificent antique silver dessert service made by Richard Martin and Ebenezer Hall all contained in the original fitted box. The service has shaped stems and mitre terminals stamped with scrolls, foliage and strapwork on a matted ground, engraved with a family crest.It is in excellent condition and looks barely used.

It has 18, Dessert Spoons, 18 Dessert Forks, 18 Dessert Knives, 6 Serving Spoons with fluted bowls, a plain ladle, a sifter ladle, a pair of grape scissors, a large cake serving knife and fork also with 2 pairs of matching nutcrackers. The original canteen box is burr walnut and has purple velvet lining. The box shows a degree of wear consummate with its age.
