This very fine set of Salt Cellars are modelled in the rare 'Cauldron form and stand on three shell feet, attched to scroll legs and shell mouldings where the legs are attached to the main body.

The circular baluster shaped bodies rise to an everted, shaped, rim decorated with gadrooning. The front of each piece is engraved with a contemporary Armorial surrounded by a Rococo style cartouche of shells and foliate sprays.

The interiors are finely gilded and each is very well marked on the base. The Salts are in quite excellent condition and it is nice to see a set which have remained all together from this early date, by this specialist salt cellar maker.
