A very fine pair of Salad Servers made in London in 1843 by Richard Britton.
The Servers are modelled in the fiddle and thread pattern and are of a quite excellent thick gauge of silver.
The spoon has an unusual egg shaped bowl and the fork six tines.
The top of each stem is engraved with a contemporary Crest and both are in quite excellent condition and are very well marked.
Although termed Salad Servers, they could be used to serve a variety of things on the dining table.
