A very fine George III Drinks Salver made in London in 1791 by Thomas Daniel.

The Salver is oval in form and stands on four panel feet with scroll ends. The raised rim is decorated with a reeded band and the main body is engraved with an outer band of bright cut flower heads and foliate motifs on a scratch engraved ground.

The centre of the Salver is engraved with a contemporary Armorial with Crest above, all surrounded by a most beautiful cartouche of drapery mantling, which was a popular design at this date. The Salver is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse. It is an ideal size for serving drinks.
