A Vernis Martin Cabinet in the Louis XVI Manner.
Constructed in mahogany, with extensive ormolu mounts; the square rectangular tapering legs, dressed with brass mounts frame the three quarter ormolu galleried lower tier, and a panelled back support the upper cabinet; an oak lined drawer to the lower part, with, over, a door painted in the Vernis Martin manner within a shaped shield form cartouche, with attendant foliates, formed by a fine ormolu frame, enclosed within ormolu mounted Corinthian columns; an ormolu three quarter balustraded gallery to the surmount.
