Pale amethyst and smoke grey glass.
Signed Venini Italia TW to base.
The Finnish artist and designer started working with Venini in 1962, in 1966 he designed the 'Bolle' series of glass bottles in various shapes and colourways. Each bottle was produced using the complicated incalmo technique. This technique involves joining the upper part and lower parts of the vessel perfectly together whilst the glass is still hot, it is a precision job with no margin of error.
This early example is a in pale shades of amethyst and grey, the later versions are much darker.
