This a beautiful example of a classic 1950s watch made by Vacheron Constantin, the oldest watch manufacturer in the world with an uninterrupted watchmaking history since its founding in 1755. The case in 18k rose gold is fitted with a manual wind movement of superior quality. The dial is very crisp and has unusual diamond-shaped hour markers.
33 mm. Generic chocolate-coloured alligator strap.
The watch has an interesting history. It was given “To Alex Brown from his colleagues in the Bank of London in June 1955.”
The private Bank of London was established in 1855 but no longer exists.
