Unusual Striking Automaton Desk Clock.

An unusual 20th Century Swiss eight day striking desk clock with automated figures. Nickelled circular keywind movement with two large going barrels. Plain cock with polished steel regulator, compensation balance with blue steel overcoil hairspring.

Club foot lever escapement. Hour and half hour striking on a steel gong. White enamel ring dial with Arabic numerals on a silver engine turned plate, elaborate blue steel hands.

In the centre chased and engraved automaton figures either side and below a cupid all appear to strike bells as the clock chimes. Substantial large square silvered case with a cast hinged easel stand.

Circular housing with small glazed aperture to reveal the balance.
