A very interesting George II walnut armchair with some unusual features. It has a shaped crest rail, rectangular splat and swept arms.
The cabriole legs have leaf carved knees and terminate with "Spanish" front feet. It has a drop in seat.
Made of Virginian walnut with excellent figuring to the timber, it is possible that it is from America, perhaps Boston.
