An Unusual Elizabeth I / James I oak boarded chest, possibly Devon, circa 1580-1620.

Having a one-piece hinged top with triple-moulded edge, the front and rear boards slightly canted, and the front board with a rare punch-decorated inner-frame moulding design, on V-shaped cutaway supports.
