A late 18th Century English silver coloured and underpainted horn pair cased pocket watch. Fitted with a mid 18th Century full plate fire gilt movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved masked cock, pierced and engraved foot and plate for the silver regulator disc. Convex white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, gold beetle and poker hands.
Plain silvered metal inner case, maker's mark "JR". Attractive underpainted horn outer case with silver bezels and pique pins. The well painted scene of a squire riding a horse, fences and a cottage in the background with gilt details and border.
