An octagonal tea caddy veneered in coromandel with floral mosaic to the lid and frieze. The interior fitted with a lid and some evidence of original tinning. This small-proportioned caddy is reminiscent of 18th century caddies and is attributed to Thomas Barton, who was the only Tunbridge Ware maker to produce this sought-after shape.
Circa 1870
