A Tunbridge Ware stationery box with a panel of perspective cubes to the domed lid and with a border of floral mosaic to the frieze.
This box is by Thomas Barton, with his label on the base. The mosaic contains green coloured veneers, naturally achieved by the use of wood attacked by the fungus Chlorociboria aeruginascens.
The interior is fitted with compartments for stationery.
